FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOCAL MOMS ORGANIZE “DO-GREEN ZONES” AT LOCAL EVENTS TO GIVE VISITORS GREEN OPTIONS

Worthington, Ohio (August 23, 2010)—Recognizing the need for ”green” at local one-day festivals, the founders of www.BigGreenHead.com are filling a niche by setting up new “Do-Green Zones” to provide a way for visitors to recycle, refill, and receive helpful information about easy ways to go green.

“We organized recycling at A Taste of Worthington in July,” says Kate Midnight, BigGreenHead.com Co-founder,  “and found people were really happy to have green ways to dispose of recyclable items. However many smaller events don’t have the volunteer power to offer these alternatives.”

Enter the friendly and approachable Big Green Head. This fun face of green is busy these days. In addition to keeping BigGreenHead.com online content fresh, publishing eco-friendly news and opinions, the monster himself will be on site with new “Do-Green Zones” at Urban Scrawl, August 28th, Fido Fest, October 3rd, and Fall Festival, October 9th.

The “Do-Green Zones” will appear at these local events in the form of a 10x10 tent featuring three stations:

  • Recycling - for collecting bottles, cans, caps and cardboard from festival participants
  • Water - for refilling reusable water bottles
  • Information – to demonstrate products, answer questions and provide green tips to festival goers.
