Ironically, the more time that freed up, the less time I made for exercise...if only walking the dog burned more calories.
I’m grateful for the get lean or die trying commitment I made 11 weeks ago. My 52 week goal is like a carrot dangling in front of my nose (great use of a pun if I do say so). If I want to reach my goal of a 35” waist, then I better keep evaluating and changing some old habits. I think this exercise thing is going to work!
I need to give a shout out to one of my BFF’s for inspiring me to ramp up my exercise routine. Not only did she get me swimming laps again, but I’ve also joined her in her most recent routine: riding our bikes to Antrim Lake, jogging around once (1 mile), and riding up to Urban Coffee for a cup of Joe. M, W, F we swim, T, TH we bike/jog.
I have to say I am starting to feel really good! Not only am I making better choices, but I feel less guilty about the not so good ones too. I hope that I can inspire you to do the same; get off your butt and get on your bike, running shoes or swim suit. Worst case scenario, we convince the general public that being fit and fat is all the rage and you can have your cake and eat it too... as long as you’re exercising.
