do green | feel good

We Are Big Green Head!

This monster is on a mission to change your perception about going green. It’s not difficult, nor is it costly... in fact we think it's pretty cool. Start doing green and feeling good. Have you got something better to do?

You make me sick!

Dear Plastic Water Bottles,

You make me sick! With your over-priced commodity that offers convenience to the unplanned outing, soccer game... lunch box. We didn't need you before, but now we're hooked and can't seem to stop buying you. It's gotten so bad that 2.5 million Americans use you EVERY HOUR!

I'm sick of seeing you overflowing in garbage cans instead of being recycled, left behind on soccer fields and playgrounds. I hope you go away and never come back;'and so do all the animals that have to swim through your cyclone of debris growing in the ocean. It's difficult for them to avoid a swirl of garbage the size of Texas. What did they ever do to you anyway?

You're an oil grubbing, money sucking, trash producing piece of poop!

You may think you've won, but don't get too cocky. I know firsthand that people are on to you and they're starting to use their own water containers. It won't be long before we are completely done with you. Then we'll get busy collecting all your nasty empties and recycling them into something useful and good.  We will prevail!

Great Question and I totally get your frustration! In order to stop the wasteful water habits of large group gatherings it's going to take some initiative from the event organizer. Providing a group with a large cooler of cold water or lemonade that they can fill their reusable bottles is one solution. Or another is to provide biodegradable cups. This may take a little more work or money, but ultimately I think everyone would feel better about their drink.

hey! Love the website and especially your humorous posts! You make going green entertaining and fun. I have not bought bottled water for my families personal use in one year! But, I find schools and community groups ask for plastic water bottle donations often. Any suggestions of ways to have water without the waste for group events?
