Common Pesticides Linked to ADHD
Organophosphates, originally created to be used in chemical warfare, can be found in about 40 pesticides that are legal for use in the United States. A recent study by researchers in the US has found a direct correlation between increased levels of organophosphates in a child’s blood stream and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Parents are urged to thoroughly wash fruits and vegetables before serving them to their children and to avoid excessive exposure to the pesticides on produce.
